Welcome
to the Music of
Peter Seiler
I met Peter Seiler first time in Mannheim, Germany. I had done
recording and mixing for Lisa Franco's first CD here in
Los Angeles, but the release was kinda bugged. Somehow it did not happen.
Then, suddenly there was this record deal for her in Germany. I promise, even if I'm
German (which you can probably tell by my accent I'm writing in), I had nothing to do with
that. Anyway, suddenly she was up and away to Germany, producing an album with Peter
Seiler.
I managed to have the idea to visit my folks at the same time Lisa went to Europe, and
so I dropped by the "Big Key" Studio in Mannheim. This is where I met Peter.
He turned out to be a really nice guy, we had very good raport, even if we did not have
too much time to talk then - and I loved his music, especially his piano playing (guess I
had somewhat of a loss there because I never mangaged to really learn it).
We met again here in LA when he and his son Dennis checked out Southern California, and
I think it was then when I got an autographed copy of his first CD from him which I will
proudly present on the "Open Borders" page.
By now Peter has eight Solo Albums out. At one time I had several of them but all of
them, except the first, have disappeared - you know - lend it to a friend and forget to
ask it back. As I get my hand on them, I will introduce them in these pages.
For now it's two of them, "Open Borders", and - fresh out of the mail-box
(Thanks, Peter, I got it today - and that is REALLY a good one) - KlangOase (Sound Oasis).
