This page is intended to introduce you to some good music. We will do this by letting you meet the artists, hear a little bit of their music and, if you like what you see and hear, get in touch with them. This internet is such an amazing medium for communication. Sure it's still difficult to get in direct e-mail contact with Michael Jackson, but we will not have him here anyway, yet you can find him and his music at Sony Music.
Admitted, our music samples we are able to offer you on-line are not quite what we would like to put here. That would be (at least!) 16 bit digital super surround TXH quadrphonic super califragilistic sound with the proper speakers delivered electronically via the net. But for now it's only mono (even through the two speakers in front of you).
It's not our fault!
The technology, at least if we tap into the internet via modem, even with one of the super duper 28,800 one's, just isn't quite good enough to give you - say - one title of a CD in CD quality. But we have an ear on the pulse of the internet and as soon as the tech is there, we will offer better samples.
For now we just have to be content with eight bit mono with 11 kHz samples. But it
sure beats the
'10-CD's-for-one-cent-and-you-get-a-VW-when-you-buy-one-at-regular-club-prices'
offers where you end up with eight CD's that you don't like but don't send back because
they were 'free'.
The latest addition to our repertoire is Real Audio. All the sound bits are encoded in this format to make download times shorter (sorry we do not stream the data yet, so you have to wait a bit, but not as long as for .wav files any more). You can get the free Player from the Real Audio Site.
Enough of our mumbling about how much better we will make the world. Let's see what we have to offer.
