GeZi and the Wide Blue Sky

Bird in the Sky

Glad you made it here to take a look.

I want this page to develops into something about flying. And not just flying, but about the joy of flying. I guess you got here because you found some scrap URL in a windy corner somewhere in the vast reaches of the internet. Something made you point your pointer (?) into this direction - and here you are.

So that I now have you here, my intention is to make you linger for a while, and not chase you away with a huge selection of links to other "aviation related pages".

I hope that you stay to allow me to show you a bit of my world. To be a bit more specific - the part of my world up there with the clouds and the wind and the sun.

Let's begin!

This will be a little collection of stories that I experienced myself (lived through), heard about, or just plain invented. Who knows? These will be stories on the other side of the IMPORTANCES. What do I mean by this? If we look at something just as it is, without any additions of what it is, what it is for, and what its importance is, we are really living in the present. All the additions to this that we normally use to get us working properly in our world only weave connections between the past and the present. They take away from our inborn ability to enjoy something exactly as it is. An ability that we often admire in children.

One more thing - if you have a story that you think would fit here and that you would like to share - give me buzz and make a web page - I will publish it here.

And by all means, let me know what you think, how it can be improved and how you could contribute. Be seeing you.

One little note before we can start: I sometimes get carried away with all the cute Web technology in these stories, or better with the pictures in these stories. You will find links in the text that should pop up another window displaying a page with a picture. This window should pop down and disappear as soon as it looses focus, in other words, if you go back to the story to continue reading. If it does not do that for you, you might have to get a newer browser -like less than 10 years old <grin>.

The Big Adventure

Let's go to Vegas

On the Trail of J.D. Flora

A not quite International Airport

All the Way up to Seattle

This really frightened me(coming soon)

To be continued ...

I got so many nice guest book messages in response to these pages, that I KNOW that there are lots of you pilots out there who share my love of flying, I mean - just flying - go out there and BE ... and I thought to myself that sharing this joy could also mean sharing some of the stories.

So, we have a guest writers corner here on these pages. The first to break the ice was Allan sharing his story of a flight to Sedona, and now we also have Peter whom I convinced to share e-mails send to friends and family about his aerobatic and other experiences.

Guest Writers Corner

A Flight to Sedona - Allan Beiderman

E-mail to Friends - Peter Siciliano

Six Days To Go - Peter Siciliano

GOT IT - Peter Siciliano

Quite a Journey - Peter Siciliano

In the beginning I promised not to throw pointers at you. Greedy as I am I wanted to keep you here on my pages and not let you go again. But one exception, please. I would like to show you the Pilots Co-Op at the Burbank airport from where most of my adventures start. It's a very nice club, where I actually met trusty 08L before she decided to become the "GeZi Airlines". Take a look!
