Hi Everybody!

Welcome To Penguin World.

It was quite some years ago now that I happened to visit the South Pole. And there I met a very nice guy - and this guy was a penguin. And we learn not to discriminate, I thought, what the heck, let's become friends!

And we did.

It was a couple of years later that quite out of the blue he called me up on the phone and told me that he had just rented a new apartment in San Diego, 100 Sea World Drive.

We immediately got together in a nice pub in Hollywood and had a couple of drinks. And these things usually end up with great ideas - and the idea was to travel the world and visit ALL of the continents. We could skip Antarctica, because we both knew it from our first meeting.

So it was America (which he did not really knew yet - having just moved here), Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.

I wanted to go along and take some photos along the way.

Being back now I thought that it might be a nice idea to just publish the best of these shots.

Here we go - oh yes - by the way - I like to design and so I accompanied each of the pictures with a matching piece.

America

America
America was our first place to discover. We left on a plane from Los Angeles and arrived in New York six hours later.

There we did as every good tourist does ...

Europe

Europe
From the Big Apple we boarded another plane and zipped over to the Old World. Paris received us with open arms and certainly - we had to see the Eiffel Tower.

Asia

Asia
The continent of ancient cultures was next. And I felt just like home. Because - for all who don't know me - I am from Thailand, and so this part of the trip was like coming home. Not that all Asia is the same, there are so many faces to this huge continent, but still ...

Australia

Australia
Then we went down under. And believe it or not - my Penguin friend found a new friend. It was not something like East meets West but more a Hot meets Cold.

Africa

Africa
The last station was Africa, where we got a chance to visit the graves of the old Pharaohs. We did not meet any of the new ones. Just wondering if they actually have new ones - hmmm...

Yes, so - this was our big trip! But to put things in perspective, or better, to put them right: I am not really a photographer, but a textile designer, and I really love to do that. Maybe you noticed. I specifically had a lot of fun doing these pieces.

But for these pages I had to downgrade the quality of the images quite a bit to make download and display time acceptable. If you really like my design I would be glad to get in touch with you.
