Gigi's Guest Book

I got so nice responses to my pages here that I don't want to keep them only for myself. So I put them here like in a real guest book. If you write something into a real-world guest book you can also look first what others have written, so that you can surpass everyone with wit and humor.

But I really don't mean to make this a contest here, I am happy about all the nice communication you want to send me.

Thanks again,
yours truly
Gigi

I like your hobby kitchen page a lot and have put a pointer to it in
my Thai webpage, http://www.cs.rochester.edu/u/edyamp/

Hope you don't mind. And keep those recipes coming!
BTW, are you keeping an archive of them?

hello gigi,

I came across your thai recipe page in soc.culture.thai. I was wondering
if you would be interested to have your recipe page included in my "Thai
Cuisine" page, http://www.nectec.or.th/users/joy/SCTrecipes/

You can take a look at the page first, and see if you are interested.
BTW, I do not come up with the recipes in the page, I just maintain them.

nice going in your homepage, i like the thai 'sawasdee' though, always
wondering how did you do that ? :-)

Subject: Hello

Enjoyed reading the recipes on your internet page. Will try them
out soon.

Am curious about a few things.

Can you add a few of the traditional dishes to the list?
Suggestions
  Coconut-lemon grass soup
  Pad Thai
  Panang
  Phad ped
  Gang loog chin phla
  Khow lard na gai
  Gang pet
  Gatee thom yum

I have enjoyed these dishes in resturants and would like to
learn to cook them.

Do most Thai households use pre-made (commercial) curry paste or
cook them from scratch? What commercial brands do you recommend?

Thanks

Dear Khun Gigi,

Thank you very much for the recipes. I am now sitting next to
the computer with the lovely aroma of ginger, lemongrass, chili,
that smells so good, thanks to your inspiration. With a little
more humidity (and a hint of motorcycle fumes ;-), it would
take me back to languid nights in Thailand.

I particularly enjoy your unique and friendly
way of writing- the way one good cook talks with another (though I
doubt I could aspire to being a very good cook).

One suggestion- how about a recipe for something "bai kaprood" as
I often see it on Thai restaurants here; meaning with Thai basil
leaves.

Khap Kun Mak, krap. Thanks very much for the recipes so far....
your public will be eagerly awaiting the next installments.

Subject: Cooking Class?

Hmmm. Prapapun's webbed out cooking class. Could be a fine idea.
What's for dinner is my all time favourite Web page and Thai food tickles
my tummy tremendously. I suppose if I cannot convince the Pra to come to
Victoria and wed, then a cooking class could be a good second choice.
How much would it be worth to me? (I mean the class.) Maybe a couple of
dollars a meal. Five if you could give serious help on locating
ingredients and answer e-mail when I'm stuck. So let me know if you do
it please.

One small suggestion for the What's for Dinner page - How about putting
the meals in reverse order so that the new ones pop up at the top of the
page instead of way down there at the bottom.

Thanks for your contribution. It brightens my days.
