Welcome To GeZi World

What is this 'GeZi World'? you might ask. - Good question! - History of it will shed some light.
It all started with this Web-thing. Years before its rise to fame there was always my strong interest in the internet. I had one of the very expensive Trailblazer modems, that allowed me to uucp (for all you Generation-Web people: that stands for Unix-Unix-CoPy) with a blazing (!) 19200 bps while the rest of the world did 2400.
Then came the Web and I got my very first SLIP connection. My first HTML page was a typical vanity home page. No background pictures, mostly black on gray, with very few pictures - GIF only. 
Several generations later this became GeZi World with a few continents to explore.
